Review and provide input on requirements specifically from the perspective of the control system end users on assigned projects.
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading the analysis of features and products and designing appropriate system tests to mitigate quality risks. The ideal candidate would have experience with the design and development of large control system applications for end use in industry.
Review system architectures and designs and provide feedback on testability and robustness.
Contributes to architectural and system design and independently develops system test designs that validate the design and code.
Lead the process of performing quality risk analysis on assigned features and products.
Architect, design, and implement tests that sufficiently mitigate risks exposed during the quality risk analysis.
Leads or participates in reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation.
Provides work estimates and status reports to the technical lead and Project Manager, as requested. Maintains adequate interaction to ensure assigned tasks are prioritized appropriately.
Keeps informed of new developments in the software quality engineering and computer engineering fields. Identifies and participates in technical and developmental training opportunities.
Core strength in Computer Engineering, Embedded Software, Firmware Design or Control Systems Engineering.
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with concentration in software
Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial control system design, development, and start-up
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a complex embedded software environment
Experience with SQL, HMI Code, and Control Logix programming
