The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer is an experienced professional with a full understanding of electrical / electro-mechanical test verification and validation. We expect you to resolve a wide range of issues in creative and effective ways under direction of the Quality Assurance Manager this position will support Rockwell Automation's Safety, Sensing and Connectivity Business.
Serve as the quality representative on new product development teams or other project teams, as required.
Perform design, quality, reliability, and safety reviews of proposed hardware, software and product documentation (installation instructions, labels, advertisements, etc.).
Perform data analysis using Statistical Methodology, including MINITAB tools.
Generate test plans and execute tests to verify performance of components and/or products to specifications, based in Photo Sensing Technology (LED and Photo Diode), supporting assembly sites.
Issue verification/validation reports based on test results or comparisons to similar designs and make recommendations for release or corrective action.
Understand the operation of laboratory equipment and provide training and supervision to technicians, as necessary, on laboratory equipment.
Perform failure mode analysis of field returned product, of product audit failures and of components, as needed.
Develop and execute audits on mature products (by Product Line Responsibility List).
Help maintain ISO certification by being knowledgeable of and following appropriate documents in the Quality Manual, the Product Safety Manual, and the Design Qualification Manual.
Recommend enhancements to the manuals when practices deviate from documented procedures.
Perform ISO internal quality system audits.
Bachelor's of Science is required.
Minimum of 10 years experience in design and/or evaluation of electronic industrial control equipment with background in Reliability, and Photo Sensors (LED and Photo Diodes) are necessary. Certified Reliability Engineer by ASQ is a plus.
Knowledge of quality systems measurement techniques (SPC, Pareto analysis, etc.) along with root cause analysis techniques is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable to analyze data and write reports are required.
Design for Reliability
