What You'll Do
 
John Deere Power Systems in Waterloo, Iowa  is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the engine assembly/test operations to minimize down time due to any quality concerns/non-conformance.  In addition you will have the opportunity to:
  • Ensure production quality issues are contained and managed.  
  • Perform quality planning functions for new product introduction.
  • Investigate production issues to determine root cause and appropriate corrective action.
  • Participate in teams as the Quality representative for the purchase of new equipment.

What It Takes

We need an excellent communicator who is able to resolve quality issues by determining root cause while working in a cross functional team environment. Ideally you will have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, related discipline or equivalent work experience. In addition we require the following experience which can be fulfilled through an internship as well as practical experience:
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience using root cause analysis, problem solving, blue printing and GD&T.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

A strong candidate will have previous experience in the engine industry, knowledge of SAP and successful experience leading a team.
