We are currently seeking a Sales Enginner - Coud Content & Rich Media - Washington DC

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to;

  • Pre-sales activity in the designated area, supporting Cloud Content and Media. 
  • Assist in closing new business opportunities by gaining a thorough technical and business understanding of clients' needs and helping Sales qualify, identify, and close new opportunities. 
  • Understand the Cloud Content and Media sales process and how to utilize company resources to close accounts. 
  • Participate in customer-focused seminars, tradeshows, events, presentations, technology roadmap reviews and training. 
  • Provide RFP responses, technical drawings, presentations, and recommendations. 
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough technical and procedural understanding of DDN Sales cycles, products/services and a thorough technical understanding of like industries. 
  • Develop a substantial knowledge of the company's SAN appliances product line. 
  • Develop innovative solutions to customers' business needs. 
  • Participate in on-call pager rotation (24x7) 

Qualifications for this role are;

  • 5-7 Years experience required.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience in selling storage, with strong technical expertise, including deep industry knowledge and contacts. 
  • This position will be field based and involve travel of approximately 30%-40%. 
  • A successful sales engineer will be expected to drive business through their own, previously established relationships. 
  • Must have experience negotiating large transactions personally and been instrumental in closing those deals. 
  • A BA or BS (in a related field) is required
