ShiftM-F, 8-5

The role you’ll contribute:

Works as an integral member of the Research Data Services Core, guiding the responsible design, development, maintenance, and support of data and ETL infrastructure underlying reporting and analytics products. Applies subject matter expertise to drive the implementation of repeatable standards and processes for back-end development. Evaluates, designs, and informs data models using industry standard tools. This position has overall responsibility of assessing requirements and defining strategy, technical architecture, and implementation plan of research data services projects and serves as the subject matter expert driving all back-end content. Possesses strong understanding of the AdventHealth Research Institute’s data needs and has an interest in understanding the details and foundational roots of necessary data elements.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced team members. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all

·      Develops and maintains positive customer relationships with ability to facilitate communication aimed at understanding business needs and translating to technical requirements

·      Works with business customers, governance bodies, analysts and infrastructure resources to develop and analyze front-end needs and determines optimum systems requirements to meet those needs.

·      Offers guidance to data scientists, data engineers, and analysts on meeting business requirements within defined standards and infrastructure. Mentors junior staff on development techniques to meet the business requirements.

·      Designs and informs data architecture including data sources, data load strategy, security, and visualization software architecture.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·      BS degree in Computer Science or a related field

·      Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working on data related projects
