The role you’ll contribute:
The Physician Office Supervisor is responsible for planning, controlling, organizing and directing the day-to-day operations and activities of the physician affiliate office or physician department in conjunction with Practice Manager and/or Director of Practice Operations.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Regularly reviews charge, scheduling and other financial reports along with billing practices to assure physician and office reimbursement is appropriate
- Properly prepares check requests along with office and/or physician Expense Reports and Petty Cash Reimbursement/Reconciliation form in accordance with policy
- Demonstrates ability to read and understand expense reports and works with Practice Manager and/or Director of Operations regarding variances. Understands budgetary limitations and helps office to maintain budgetary limits.
- Properly processes invoices for payment in accordance with hospital policy
- Prepares, updates and tracks department schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage in practice to include on-call schedules, prn staffing and PDO days for employees and physicians.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years’ experience as a lead role in a medical setting or other supervisory related role. Experience in management of multiple practices or specialty practices desirable.
- Computer proficiency required-in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Must have knowledge of TJC requirements and local, state, and federal regulations.
