Schedule: Full Time

Shift:  Days Fri, Sat, & Sun 10:30am - 11pm

Location: AdventHealth Hendersonville

The role you’ll contribute: Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders. Supports pharmacists and provides distributive pharmacy services. To provide safe and accurate medication services and to support all those involved in direct patient care.

  • Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency
  • Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services provided by
  • Central Pharmacy
  • IV Room
  • Delivery
  • Controlled Substances
    • AND (at least one of the following):
  • Oncology Compounding
  • Quality Assurance & Sampling
  • Technician Inventory Check
  • Medication History
  • Clinical Services
  • Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems
  • Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patient‐specific medication doses
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in their respective state
  • If applicable to facility Sterile Compounding Certification                    
  •  High School Degree
  • One year of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience OR 1 year retail experience
