An Intern, IT Compliance Analyst at Corporate is a unique opportunity to work part time or full time for a Fortune 500 company and gain firsthand knowledge of audit procedures and business operations in a complex business environment.  The Intern position is both full time (40 hours per week) and part time (~20 hours per week) up to six month position, with multiple openings occurring in and out of the school year

The IT Compliance team creates a repeatable, efficient and sustainable activity to ensure management is aware of the state of Information Security Policy (“ISP”) compliance at each line of business (“LOB”) and across the enterprise as a whole.  The Team provides reasonable assurance that compliance activities are conducted on a regular basis and the results of those activities adequately attest to the level of compliance at each organization.  The team strives to build and empower each member with all the skills they need to be successful through continuous improvement programs and training events. 

Responsibilities
  • Perform IT security control testing  in accordance with IT compliance program
  • Prepare IT Compliance testing work papers in compliance with the department standards. 
  • Assist with other aspects of completing the IT Compliance engagements projects. 
  • General clerical work to include copies, filing and research. 
Requirements
  • Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Accounting. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset
  • Time management skills 
  • Demonstrates strong computer skills including a good working knowledge of MS Office.  Microsoft Word, Excel Required 

Qualifications
  • Graduate student in The IIA Center for Internal Audit Excellence Program (preferred)
  • Currently attending or completed the Internal Auditing course
  • Currently attending or completed the IT Audit and Risk Management course (preferred)
  • Understanding of general computer controls and processes
  • Strong time management skills
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, a team player and deadline driven, as well as possess strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
