Schedule:  Full-time      Shift:  Day

Location:  100 Health Park Drive Louisville, Colorado 80027

  

The role you'll contribute:  

Provides quality patient care to all patients within two or more medical imaging departments. Performs high-quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. Follows standards of safe radiation practice. Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and upholds current standards of practice for the unit.

 

 

The value you'll bring to the team: 

  • Performs imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals. Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
  • Prepares patient for exam. Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
  • Performs IV starts and contrast administration as required.
  • Maintains quality checks and equipment maintenance documentation per department procedure.
  • Proactive in problem identification and following up with appropriate management personnel.
  • Communicates in writing and verbally with all physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff in facilitating the continuum of care.
  • Facilitates smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal use of equipment/resources.
  • Correctly inputs charges and required data for procedures and for supplies utilized during the procedure/exam.
  • Completes required hospital/medical imaging paperwork for each exam performed.
  • Maintains high skill level through ongoing education / meeting attendance and shares information with staff.
  • Actively participates in department/hospital quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation and hospital regulations and standards.
  • Ability to provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours per department and/or facility policy.

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year imaging experience
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology
  • One of the following advanced certifications: ARRT(MR); ARDMS RDCS+RVT; ARDMS RCS+RVT; ARDMS RDMS+RVT; ARRT RT(S)+RT(S)(VS); ARRT(N); NMTCB
  • One additional modality certification (for a total of 3 certifications in radiology)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association

Preferred:

  • Associate degree (strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree
