Schedule: Full Time Shift: Monday - Friday Location: 2600 Westhall Lane Maitland, FL 32751 The role you’ll contribute: The Regional Corporate Responsibility Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the corporate responsibility functions for designated entities within the Urgent / Home / Remote Care Network (Network). For purposes of Corporate Responsibility coverage, the Network is considered a region within the AdventHealth Primary Health Division. RCRO responsibilities for designated entities within the Network include AdventHealth CentraCare, Home Care, Hospice, Acute at Home, Primary Care at Home, Hospital at Home, and other entities that may be included in the Network in the future. Job responsibilities include operational oversight and implementation of the compliance and privacy policies, trainings, audits and investigation activities for the various Network entities/areas, coordination of the contract review process, implementation of applicable corporate responsibility monitoring and auditing activities as well as risk assessment identification and mitigation. The value you’ll bring to the team: - Implement the AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility Program for the designated entities, with oversight from and reporting to, the Division Corporate Responsibility Officer.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the corporate responsibility function for the designated entities, including the handling of compliance and privacy matters, and providing oversight of the regional Corporate Responsibility program and its team members and affiliates.
- Participate in regular update meetings with, and communicate on, corporate responsibility matters to operational and corporate leaders.
- Provide and/or implement training and education on company policies and requisite regulatory compliance matters to ensure consistency across the locations and adherence to all state and federal laws.
- Conduct and oversee risk assessment and monitoring and auditing activities for designated entities to identify and address regulatory risks in the areas of healthcare compliance and privacy.
- Investigate and respond to identified and/or reported areas of concern including issues reported via the Corporate Responsibility Guideline (hotline).
- Serve as a subject matter expert supporting staff and leaders on areas of regulatory healthcare compliance including, but not limited to general compliance, privacy, billing/coding, and regulatory matters.
- Assist with execution of the AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility Work Plan (auditing & monitoring activities) for designated entities.
- Facilitate other internal and external audits which may be needed and coordinate with AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility corporate office.
- When needed, work collaboratively with internal and external legal counsel on high-risk matters.
- Chair the Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee(s) for designated entities.
- Chair compliance related workgroups.
- Participate in local board meetings and report on compliance activities.
- Perform Corporate Responsibility Contract Review / Management activities specific to physician contracting for designated entities.
- Make on-site visits to facilities/agencies as needed, periodic visits to AdventHealth corporate offices.
- Supervise and provide guidance to employee(s) supporting Corporate Responsibility within the Network.
- Attend local leadership meetings for Network entities/areas.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to travel to AH Corporate Offices and each of the facilities when needed.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of five years healthcare regulatory and compliance experience at a management level.
- Specific experience in long term care, home care, hospice compliance, coding and/or operations.
- Strong working knowledge of post-acute care environments (e.g., Home Care and Hospice operational, compliance, and risk considerations).
- Strong working knowledge of compliance and healthcare software/technologies including compliance and ethics report tools, privacy monitoring software, conflict of interest tools and electronic medical records.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulations including: the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Compliance Guidance, the Federal False Claims Act, the Federal Anti-kickback Statute, Stark Law and HIPAA.
- Knowledge of Medicare and third-party payer coding and billing regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: - Degree preferred in Business Administration, Finance, Nursing or other healthcare related field.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: - Healthcare compliance certification required to be obtained within first year.
