AdventHealth Medical Group Pediatrics at Orange City (PRN) - APRN or PA

Job Description

Overview

The APP, under the supervision of the Physicians is responsible for:

  • Performs physical examinations of patients, assessment and treatment of injuries or illnesses for pediatric patients.
  • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
  • Independent and collaborative medical management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed.
  • Collaborates with physician supervisor and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
  • Combination of outpatient in person visits as well as virtual visits.
  • Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth.

Schedule Details:

  • Primary Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00 pm and rotating Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm
  • Primary Location: Orange City and Lake Mary
  • Opportunity to pick up additional hours when needed at Apopka, Winter Garden, College Park and Orlando

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong medical decision-making and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Willingness to learn
  • Flexible, adaptable to change

Education and Experience Required:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
  • Strong clinical practice experience Pediatrics of Family Medicine treating a variety of acute and chronic conditions is required

Licensure, Certification, and Registration Required:

  • Current, valid Florida APRN or PA-C license
  • Current, valid DEA license
  • ANCC, AANP or NCCPA (or equivalent) certification
  • Current BLS required
