Central Texas Medical Center

About the area
Our area is home to seven diverse communities, where there is something for everyone. You can choose to live in an urban environment, the peaceful Hill Country or a barbecue mecca. In addition to providing a host of family-friendly events, our area is known as one of the "best places to retire" (Forbes) and one of the "best cities for singles" (Livability.com). San Marcos in particular offers fun things to do for all ages, including world-class shopping at the largest outlet malls in the U.S., live music and cultural arts, and outdoor activities like tubing our spring-fed rivers. Living in this region offers the cachet of Austin without the cost. In fact, San Marcos is the third most affordable city in Texas, with housing costs 38 percent lower than in Austin. As an added benefit, our K-12 schools are top-notch, with STEM-focused options and competitive graduation scores.

Our Culture

What is the culture like
We have a friendly, Christian culture that inspires us to care for patients with uncommon compassion and uncompromising excellence. Because we believe that each person is created in the image of God with an inseparable connection between mind, body and spirit, our focus goes beyond treating illness toward helping people achieve optimal well-being so they can enjoy happy, healthy lives. This same philosophy of care is extended to our team members through personal interactions (team lunches, huddles, and prayer) and professional resources (ongoing education, comprehensive benefits, and employee wellness program) to help you be your best and provide the best possible care.
