Define, review, configure, and verify the operation of Industrial Ethernet networking components (Stratix product line) used in Rockwell Automation ControlLogix control systems.
Create, review and update detailed Ethernet networking component specifications.
Work with Project Management to create, review and update project plans and work estimates.
Interface with Rockwell partners both in person and by electronic means.
Performs Functional and System testing of product functions and features.
Work according to Rockwell Processes and procedures.
Document work, tests, and anomalies according to department standards.
Projects require self-direction and the ability to adjust to changes in priority and scope. A successful candidate must be able to work in a dynamic team oriented organization, which demands a sense of urgency, customer focus, and process improvement. Projects involve the aspects of Marketing, Design Engineering, Operations, and Quality. The position requires the ability to work and communicate effectively with teams both within and outside of Rockwell Automation.
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience is required. MS or certifications are desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Industrial Ethernet networking infrastructure components, specifically knowledge of Cisco IOS.
Industrial Ethernet networking skills must include layer 2 switching, layer 3 switching & routing, wireless, VPNs, and network security devices.
Knowledge of OSI Model.
Knowledge of Cisco CLI.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot network protocol issues.
Working experience in the development and implementation of Rockwell Automation ControlLogix control systems utilizing Ethernet networks.
Possess skills or can quickly learn; software design/engineering experience, Python scripting language, RSI products, CIP, and Studio 5000 programming.
