Sell a limited number of specialized company products and or services, typically a single product or product line. Work with Sales Account Managers when opportunities are identified. Serve as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales.
The Solution Architect is a technical role within Global Sales and Marketing that is responsible for collaboration with sales and distributors to implement sales strategies and plans for assigned products and services. They support the Rockwell Automation mission, vision and values by meeting or exceeding annual sales goals and increasing market share.
Establishing and maintaining engineering relationships at key accounts.
Providing domain expertise for industries, applications and technologies related to assigned products and services.
Provide expertise, strategic direction, and technical and commercial advice to sales representatives in closing orders.
Identifying customer technical and commercial challenges and engage appropriate resources to bring issues to resolution.
Provide technical expertise for assigned products as well as design consultation & technical expertise to customers.
College Diploma or Technologist Diploma – electrical, electronics, controls, process, mechatronics, or other related technical field.
Minimum five years related direct sales or business experience.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to give formal and technical presentations to a diverse audience.
Ability to problem solve and respond to unique situations.
Ability to communicate complex ideas and technical information to customers and colleagues in a clear and concise manner.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
