Creates and maintains appropriate data for the Business processes for the A&S segment.
The Business Process Analyst / Data Manager has multiple responsibilities to support the growth, productivity, and customer experience for the Architecture and Software (A&S) Business Units. This role will be focused on the optimization of the Material Master (MM), New Product Introduction (NPI), Product Discontinuation Notices (PDN), and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) processes for the A&S Business Units. This person will interact with the product managers, engineering, industrialization, order services, OES and GPT to generate the appropriate data and communications for each business process.
This role will communicate and listen to key stakeholders in an effort to understand the challenges and barriers of maintaining and optimizing the SAP infrastructure and associated process and role changes, while providing support to business personnel in developing the business process competencies throughout the A&S organization.
Measures performance of the process data as it moves through the workflow process. Proactively engages the process owners when there is a delay in the process. Escalates issues as necessary to insure timely completion.
Deploys metrics that indicate future improvement opportunities. Leverages this data and other data sources to identify root cause to problems and suggests improvement projects to close performance shortfalls.
Act as a leader when their analysis finds gaps in the current performance and proactively recommends possible solutions to Product Management and other affiliated groups.
Support development of processes that ensure consistency within business unit product lines as well as with A&S Segment requirements.
Apply metrics to measure and ensure that process improvement initiatives deliver "value" on a sustained basis
Develop strong day-to-day relationships with business counterparts in an effort to better understand the product strategy objectives and ensuring those objectives are integrated into their priorities.
Proactively establish and cultivate a broad network of contacts both within and outside the business unit for the purpose of generating the most holistic analysis possible.
Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of the business from both a local and global viewpoint.
Prioritizes workload so they can effectively make decisions with limited time and information.
Ability to learn and to update their knowledge on the methods affecting their area of responsibility.
Stay abreast of important internal activities that may have an impact on the products within the business and advises managers of potential future challenges.
Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 and 140000, government regulations (e.g., health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business
Five (5) years of professional work experience
Must have 2 or more years of SAP Transactional experience
