Working with Business Process Owners, SAP Basis and Application Support Center stakeholders, Legal, Audit, Tax and the Data & Information Management Team; define, implement and maintain SAP archive solutions to maintain system performance while supporting business processes and Rockwell Automation retention expectations. Lead and provide guidance to business process owners, drive detailed SAP archive specifications, methods and best practices to ensure data is governed, managed and protected.
The incumbent is responsible for driving new objects into production primarily leveraging indirect resources and stakeholders. Design, development, testing, and implementation of new or modified objects within a single instance ERP footprint in alignment with Rockwell Automation regulatory, legal and tax organization expectations; SAP, 3rd-party and industry best practices; and Rockwell Automation business process requirements.
The incumbent will contribute to the improvement of long-term process, standards and vision of the organization while retaining responsibility for execution and quality results.
This position has global responsibility to drive the execution of new archiving objects through the organization leveraging past experience, business process knowledge, and the skills and resources found on the team or throughout the Rockwell Automation organization.
•Develop functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, security requirements, cost estimates, and resource requirements.
•Implement project requirements through purchased software and/or internally developed software solutions to meet customer requirements.
•Assist teams in defining work processes and system requirements to meet business processes and data quality requirements.
•Identify and document job processes and problems using structured, analytical skills using project management and general IT management methodologies.
•Apply change management techniques with regard to data residence periods, retention periods and purging of historical data.
•Develops short and long-range plans that are appropriately comprehensive, realistic and effective in meeting goals; integrates planning efforts across work units.
•Ensures that the technical/business design matches the complex requirements and system needs, including business continuity, data classification and retention.
•Defines and coordinates definition and execution of source data identification, archive object variant creation, archive file management, legal hold processes, metadata standardization, and facilitation of international tax reporting through technology and process methods.
•Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with local regulation.
•Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
Minimum three years experience designing, deploying and executing SAP ECC archival solutions, data quality processes, tools and methods.
