The Rockwell Automation Technical Development Program is tailored to accelerate the development of technical talent early in a person’s career, targeting technology trends critical to the future of our business.
Program participants will complete several rotational assignments, designed to build their knowledge of Rockwell Automation products, processes, and technical skills directly related to their role. Upon completion, the individual will move into the permanent Control Architecture Engineer role, described below.
Industrial automation systems are rapidly adopting high speed Ethernet as the network of choice for applications such as water treatment, oil and gas, power generation and distribution, automotive manufacturing, and production of food, beverage and consumer goods. These applications and others require high speed coordination of intelligent devices on the network and they require more information than ever to be processed and fed up to the systems controlling the plant. Optimizing the performance of each of the elements as well as the efficiency of the architecture is key to building a system that can support real time control as well as high levels of data traffic. Projects include innovation in high speed control and communication, fault tolerance, data flow optimization, custom chip sets and shared computational assets.
We are seeking a candidate who wants to join a team to pioneer the development and application of system architecture for industrial automation applications.
Preferred Education Requirement: Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience). Ph.D. is optional.
• Bachelor’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Demonstrated academic excellence; 3.25 cumulative GPA minimum
