What You'll Do
John Deere's Construction & Forestry (C&F) Division in Dubuque IA, is seeking a Sr. Facilities Engineer to develop and administer Facility Engineering (FE) procedures (construction specifications, project management processes, environmental health and safety, contractor/consultant relations, etc), and ensure procedures are applied consistently in the department. In addition you will:
Conduct complex major FE projects, giving work direction to engineering staff, design consultants, contractors and skilled trades.
Maintain and administer programs supporting Unit maintenance and production (hoist/crane program, roofing program, etc).
Serve as Unit FE liaison with Division and Enterprise FE, including participation in the Global Technology Team.
Develop and manage expense and capital budgets for projects.
Provide engineering support for production and product development operations.
Provide engineering support for safety, ergonomic and environmental initiatives.
Provide mentoring and guidance to department staff.
What It Takes
We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in a related field. In addition, we require:
3 years of experience with AutoCAD/FactoryCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and other engineering tools
Previous experience managing large scope facility/infrastructure/manufacturing projects
Ability to work effectively across all management/professional/wage work groups
3 years of experience in the Heavy equipment Manufacturing Industry
